Part II

Dawn

I am man, nothing that is human is alien to me. Publius Terentius Afer

Poem 7 ยท Dawn

Daisies

By the seaside, or between the hills

daisies rise and welcome spring

Sometimes, a daisy grows in your heart

when spring comes and goes, so will this gentle flower too

Now that Daria, my daisy, is taken from my heart

who will bring her back next spring?

Will I find her by the sea,

or under the cedar trees?

When it's my time to go,

let it be in spring

So you may lay my body

among the daisies

resting in love.
